SRC Middleweight Championship
Saturday, December 10th, 2022
This race is geared to spotlight middle weight stock castings: 41.0-50.99g
You can send in a maximum of 2 cars per racer.
Please adhere to these weight restrictions for event fairness. Graphited axles and graphited outer wheels are allowed, as a gentleman's rule, no wheel sanding and no wet lubes.
Please be sure and fill out a Redline Derby entry form and one $10 fee with your cars. The fee will be used to return your cars back home. This fee covers up to 2 cars sent in. If you are sending from outside the US, please send whatever amount it cost you to ship if you want them returned. You can use PayPal to pay your entries as well, but please use the friends & family option, and BE SURE to include your race team name in the comment section.

If I do not receive your entry fee, the winner of the weight class will receive your cars as the booty!

Race format and scoring
This will be a single-elimination tournament.
Qualifying round consists of 2 single passes down the same lane.
Qualifying times will determine the seeded bracket placement.
Race day will be 2 at a time, heads up racing, with the fastest pass after lane swaps advancing the car to the next round.
The main event (final 2) winner will be determined by the first car to post 3 race wins after lane swaps.
Penalties/DNF
Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales. I highly advise purchasing an inexpensive digital scale that measures to 1/10 of a gram to ensure compliance. If your scale measures in just whole gram increments, I would not suggest sending in a 51g car and expect it to make weight.
If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race unless oiling is the reason for disqual. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.
Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
Prizes
Trophy to the winner!
