Heavyweight Challenge

Glad there's some more interest! Good idea, Traction--and no problem, Trucker! Thank you for letting me know.

Just made some updates to the first post--take a look when you can.

Quick update: the LJLRC will be hosting two of these races, one on December 11th and another on January 8th.

Now, I think I could probably host the final race myself the weekend following the January LJLRC meeting, since that would be the last weekend before college resumed.

As for the start of the series, I'm trying to see if someone else would be willing to host a race on the weekend of January 4th. I have one guy in mind (who I just wrote to), but I don't know if he'll be able to (or would want to, since he would be new to hosting for RLD), so is there anyone else who would like to act as a backup for that weekend?

I'm thinking of trying to con DadVBall into bringing them from the LJLRC to his house to race them there the following weekend--though he may not have time because I think he's been in the process of moving. Either way--from there, is there anyone who would be willing (or have the time) to host races over the Christmas and New Year's weekends? (I don't know how many seriously would be able to do that--that might be too much to ask--but are there any volunteers?)

One last thing I would ask: when you ship out your car, please mark whatever padding/wrapping you use so that the same stuff can be used to rewrap your car to mail to the next host. Please don't use anything too extravagant and space-consuming (for instance, I don't plan on using a protecto-pack), but mark whatever you do use so your car can be packed as you want it packed.

Would you guys mind if I postponed this event until late spring/early summer 2017? I think that might work better (for me, at least). Besides, I think you've got at least four other races coming up in the near future. We'll hold off on this one.
