Real Cars with Hotwheels wheels..
Am I the only one who notices the wheels on real cars and relate them to Hotwheels variants? Someone at my work has a white Mitsubishi evolution with bronze wheels which look almost EXACTLY like FTE's. It has a few more spokes then normal, but everytime i see it I can't help but think that the car is an FTE. haha. Another one I saw today had wheels which looked like PR5's.
I've clearly been collecting hotwheels too long... Also, I really want to put FTE looking wheels on my own car now. haha

haha, yeah me two! I love looking at cars but I also know nothing about how they work and couldn't fix one to save my life. But yeah, after looking at so many hotwheels, I've been able to identify a lot of cars on the road too. I always take notice to a Chrysler 300c that goes to work around the same time that I do. That isn't a car that I would ever have known or cared about if not for redline derby!
I work for a Volkswagen/Audi dealership, so I see GspeedR
So do you get to take the R8 out to lunch sometimes?

The farthest I've driven an R8 is about 200ft across the parking lot.
But Audi did send us to 'school' @ Road Atlanta...125mph in an S4 4.2 on a rainsoaked track during a flash thunderstorm.
I think that's a side effect of collecting and racing. I'm not a "car guy" my definition...I can't even change my own oil...but I LOVE looking at cars. They're all style if you ask me. I don't know horsepowers or torques but I know a good looking car when I see one.....whole point being, I can now identify A LOT of cars know simply because I stare at the Hot Wheels versions every week.
There was a Vet's Day parade downtown where I work during lunch and I was able to pick out a 74 Charger, much to my amazement. Prior to all the racing I wouldn't have been able to do that...they were all just muscle cars to me.
But to your point, I have noticed a lot of wheels on cars that remind me of HW. I keep seeing variations of the new FTE style and it bugs the crap out of me.
