Stock Tournament Rules???
I'm attempting to organize a free diecast drag race for an upcoming fall festival in October. Below are the general rules that I have come up with. Is there anything else that I'm overlooking?
Thanks in advance!!!
Diecast Drag Racing Tournament
This will be a drag race on a Hot Wheels Super 6-Lane Raceway that has been extended to 21’ to simulate a 1/4 mile drag strip.
Rules:
1/64 scale stock Hot Wheels & Matchbox cars only.
Cars must be in the original sealed retail package and only opened during registration.
Only 2 entries per person allowed.
Double elimination tournament.

to call a race/tourny, fill out this form:
- by the way, everyone feel free to use these, and make suggestions — dr_dodge
- Great info. Thanks for sharing! — Speed_Demon29
- the goal is a true rule book too. maybe down load??? not even there yet but working on it — dr_dodge
- Good example, thanks! So when you guys say "FTE wheels are legal," are you assuming that the FTE axles are being used as well? Cause I always used FTE axles but rarely FTE wheels...especially the ugly ones ;P — redlinederby
- in mod 2-3 cars, stub axles are legal. the idea of a mod 1 car is wheel repair/swap, and or paint, and a little weight. So I guess the in stock and mod1 wheels and axles would be together, mod 2-3 FTE axles on any wheel — dr_dodge
New Jersey Drive Racing is interested in sending in 4 entries (1 entry for each Mod class).
Where do I send my entries and when do they need to arrive?
- the rules above are for our walk in drag program every other friday in Houston, no proxy races yet, and by the way, I am not the OP — dr_dodge
- Ok, not sure what to do now? — WallyChamp73
If it's just a rip-n-roll then you can be pretty light on some of the rules. But I would be sure to include something about situations where cars go off the track or fail to finish...outline the stance on do-over's or whatever.
