Tastelikedirt 32 Stock Car Winter Showdown

tastelikedirt Friday, 2/24/2012

This is the last bunch of cars from these earlier test sessions right here. http://www.redlinederby.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=601

The first bunch was raced in this 64 car showdown right here.

This is all the cars from the earlier test sessions except a few very slow ones and the FTE's that will get their own race in the future. After this is a new bunch of cars that are gonna get some racing. I think I'll be breaking them down into weight classes as well. It only makes sense.

Man, you've got some pretty sweet blackwalls in your collection.

Also, dig that Citation...who ever though that was a good name for a car? sheesh.

nice line up... would have been more fun if the bandit or the baron had gone a little bit further in the brackets...keep it up T.L.D.

Great racing Jim!

Smitty and I were talking this morning, and this is exactly the way I'd like to see the races run in the FEATHERWEIGHT CHALLENGE. Eight different heats (A, B, C . . . H) and the winners of each going into the quarterfinals.

I guess a picture(s) worth a thousand words!

Also, dig that Citation...who ever though that was a good name for a car? sheesh.

No kidding. Why didn't they just call it, "A Night In Jail".

That model is a 'Citation before MPFI). Its hard to believe that notable publications, like Car & Driver, actually used to 'go ga-ga' over the performance of this ugly FWD beast.

Well, while we're waiting for the next round of the Featherweight Challenge, I'll post the finals of this race that everybody has been so anxiously awaiting.

What does that D-type weigh?
Hopefully it's way more than 35 grams!

i dunno carl, a haircut, shave and some low-fat yellow paint...
or how about a base drilled full of holes and a beach bum logo

I'm sure it's more than 35 g's. Don't know the exact weight though...just looked 44 grams!

She don't know how to use a drill, that's why she races stockers!
