Top Sportsman Series WASHINGTON
I used so much JB Weld on that thing attaching the body to the base that it went way overweight. I cut the Targa roof first. Then cut the rear part of the roof. It was still over weight and nose heavy. I cut half the hood off and it was close. I didn't realize the hood had hinges and could open till I cut half of it out. Cut the rest of the hood. It made weight. Good thing because there wasn't much more to remove. This was all on Saturday before the Sunday race. Didn't get to test it once. It turned out OK I suppose...I mean performance wise
RACES ARE ABOUT TO GET UNDER WAY HERE IN WASHINGTON, SO GET THAT POPCORN POPPIN' AND ENJOY THE SHOW!!!
Uh oh! That Viper is fast!
Race 17: FOTF's Viper vs. Half Fast's Black 300.
300 runs out with a slight lead, all the way till the very end until the Viper overtakes it to win. Same story in other lane. Like I said, " the Viper is fast"
Race 18: JDC's Chevelle (Chasis reunited with body after the California break up) vs. FOTF's Miss Scarlet
The white Chevelle wins by the slimmest of margins in both lanes.
Race 23: Chevelle (JDC) vs. Viper FOTF
Viper gets lane 1 and takes the first race by half a car
Chevelle takes the Viper in the next race by same margin
Viper back in lane one and beats Chevelle by half a car.
For the overall final it's the Chevelle and the Viper once again. Since I seem to have one lane that's a bit faster than the other, I'll do a coin toss to see who will get lane one.
Chevelle loses the coin toss and the Viper will get lane one once again.
FOTF's red Viper takes the win, outpacing the Chevelle in both lanes. Congrats to the newcomer!
Great racing JDC!

Looks like it's time to put the 300 out to pasture!
One match up I'm very curious about is Carl's Javelin vs. Jim's #69 w/ the Lakester base. When I first looked at that 69 car I thought "now there's a sleeper".
